The amount of people outside their homes diminishes along with the light of day. Humans sleep when it gets dark. Its a basic nature due to their inability to see and hunt in the dark. The thought of not being able to see potential dangers frightens humans. So the night provides a perfect oppurtunity for predators. Drug lords, gangs, all roaming the street, polluting the brilliant serenity of the darkness. Shuri hated this. Such a pitiful sight to see for a nocturnal human like him. The night is the only chance he ever got to escape the dominating, ugly sunlight. The only chance to hear the musical sound of nothingness. Yet instead all he saw were loud arrogant people, pretending they were higher beings by claiming turf and selling those pitiful nekos. The nekos. Merely humans with cat ears are they not? How pathetic for them to allow themselves to be treated this way. As Shuri walked, the chains on his boots rattling, and his long white hair flowing, the loud druggies approached him.
"Hey girl...those clothes look really good on you. But I think you'd look better without 'em. How's about it? We don't even care about them freaky scars you got."
Shuri grimaced. What a shame to be constantly mistaken for a female. Men were so disgusting. Yet...maybe he should oblige and fill their night with fun. He played along, and they took him to an ally, where other druggies were waiting, some having their way with nekos. As Shuri approached, he noticed a small knife being carried by a large man. The knife began to float out of his pocket, and slashed his throat. The others began to panic, but chains flew from Shuri's boots and into the walls, blocking their way. Shuri reached into his coat and pulled out a conductor's baton, and began to compose a symphony. A symphony not made of strings or horns but screams and flesh being ripped open. Once the composition ended, the ghost blade floated to Shuri's mouth and met his tongue to be cleansed of the blood on it, then dropped to the floor. The chains wrapped themselves around his boots once more, and all that could be heard was the cowering of the nekos. Shuri cocked his head at them and smiled. "Tut tut...I would've thought you'd have fled to freedom at once...why are you still here, I wonder? Surely you don't wish to become MY slave after what you've witnessed?" The nekos shook their heads and ran off. It was nice. Everything was beautiful and silent as it should be...
